            VASTU IS AN ANCIENT INDIAN SCIENCE OF ARCHITECTURE AND BUILDING WHICH HELPS IN PRODUCING THE POSITIVE VIBES. BASICALLY THE VASTU SHASTRA IS MAINLY DEPENDS ON THE PANCHBOOTA IE, EARTH , SPACE, WATER, FIRE AND AIR AND ALSO DEPENDS ON EIGHT DIRECTION. IN THE EIGHT DIRECTION THEY ARE TWO PARTS I.E.

2) SECONDARY DIRECTION

1.SITE SELECTION


        Ø  SELECTING SITE THAT IS ORIENTED TO THE                         DIRECTION I.E. NORTH, EAST,  SOUTH OR WEST.

     Ø SQUARE AND RECTANGULAR PLOTS ARE GOOD FOR
            CONSTRUCTION

Ø  SQUARE AND RECTANGULAR PLOTS ARE GOOD FOR CONSTRUCTIONS.

Ø  PLOT WITH NORTH-EAST CORNER EXTENDED 

    BRINGS HEALTH, PROSPERITY, NAME AND FAME.

Ø  PLOT WITH EXTENSION IN EAST BRINGS GOOD 

    NAME AND FAME, BUT NOT GOOD FOR FINANCIAL 

    PROGRESS.

Ø  NORTH-EAST CORNER PLOTS HAVING ROADS ON 

    NORTH AND EAST IS CONSIDERED GOOD.

Ø  WEST-NORTH EXTENSION ON THE WESTERN SIDE 

    BRINGS HEALTH AND PROSPERITY .

Ø  AVOID NORTH-WEST EXTENSION ON THE NORTH 

    SHOULD BE AVOIDED.

Ø  AVOID TRIANGULAR, CIRCULAR, OVAL AND OTHER 

    IRREGULAR SHAPED PLOTS.

Ø  SOUTH-EAST EXTENSION ON EAST AND ALSO ON 

    SOUTH SHOULD BE AVOIDED.

Ø  AVOID PLOTS WITH SOUTH-WEST EXTENSION.

Ø  CORNER PLOTS WITH ROADS ON SOUTH-EAST, 

    NORTH-WEST, SOUTH-WEST SHOULD BE AVOIDED AS

     FAR AS POSSIBLE. HOWEVER, IF IT IS UNAVOIDABLE

   TO CONSTRUCT IN SUCH SITES THE PRINCIPLES OF 

   VASTU SHALL HAVE TO BE FOLLOWED TO MINIMIZE

    OR ELIMINATE THE ILL EFFECTS.


2.SET BACK OF THE SITE

  • Ø  SET BACKS OF THE SITE IS ALWAYS

        EAST IS GREATER THEN WEST AND NORTH IS 

            GREATER THEN SOUTH

                     EAST > WEST

                 NORTH > SOUTH

                         


3.WATER SOURCE

  • Ø  WATER SOURCE SHOULD BE PREFERABLY PLACED IN THE NORTH OR NORTH-EAST.

  • Ø  EAST AND WESTERN SIDES CAN BE CONSIDERED AS

  •  AN ALTERNATIVE IF WATER IS FOUND ON THOSE SIDES.

  • Ø  OVERHEAD TANKS SHOULD BE LOCATED ON THE

  •  SOUTH-WEST CORNER OF THE BUILDING.


     4.POSITION OF DOORS


Ø  DOORS SHOULD BE PLACED ON BASIS OF SWASTIK. BY USING SWASTIK WE CAN DECIDE THE DOOR WHERE TO PROVIDE DOORS OPENING.

Ø  PUT A SWASTIK AS SHOWN IN FIG IN THE 

CENTER OF THE ROOM WE CAN GET WHERE TO 

PROVIDE DOORS


5.POSITION OF LIVING ROOM

Ø  THE LIVING ROOM SHOULD BE IN THE NORTH-EAST FOR NORTH AND EAST FACING HOUSES

Ø   FOR HOUSES FACING SOUTH, IT MAY BE IN THE SOUTH-EAST.

Ø  FOR HOUSES FACING WEST, IT MAY BE IN THE NORTH-WEST.

Ø  EXPOSED BEAMS SHOULD BE AVOIDED. IF UNAVOIDABLE, AVOID SITTING CLOSE TO OR UNDER THE BEAM

 

6.POSITION OF MASTER BEDROOM

Ø  THE MASTER BEDROOM SHOULD BE LOCATED IN THE SOUTH-WEST OF THE BUILDING, WHICH SHOULD BE OCCUPIED BY THE MASTER OF THE HOUSE (HEAD OF THE FAMILY). 

Ø  IN CASE OF A MULTI-STORIED BUILDING, THE HEAD OF THE FAMILY SHOULD OCCUPY THE SOUTH-WEST CORNER ROOM ON THE UPPER FLOOR.

Ø  POSITIONING OF THE HEAD FOR ADULTS SHOULD BE SOUTH, POSITIONING OF THE HEAD IN THE WEST IS LEAST PREFERABLE. IT SHOULD NEVER BE TOWARDS THE NORTH.

Ø  AVOID PLACING BEDS UNDER BEAMS IN ANY ROOM.

Ø   WARDROBES CAN BE FIXED TO THE SOUTH AND WEST WALLS. PREFERABLY LOCATED IN THE NORTH-WEST OR SOUTH-WEST CORNERS.

Ø  SAFE CONTAINING CASH & JEWELER SHOULD BE LOCATED IN THE SOUTH-WEST CORNER IN SUCH A WAY THAT THE DOOR OPENS TOWARDS NORTH.

7. POSITION OF KITCHEN

Ø  THE KITCHEN SHOULD PREFERABLY BE LOCATED IN THE SOUTH-EAST DIRECTION.

Ø  THE SECOND OPTION FOR THE KITCHEN IS THE NORTH-WEST CORNER.

Ø  WHILE COOKING ONE SHOULD FACE EAST.

Ø  THE SINK FOR WASHING SHOULD BE IN THE NORTH-EAST CORNER OF THE KITCHEN

8. POSITION OF DINNING ROOM

Ø  DINING ROOM CAN BE LOCATED IN THE EAST, WEST OR SOUTH.

Ø  DINING ROOM CAN BE INDEPENDENT OR AN EXTENSION IN THE KITCHEN

 

 9. POSITION OF POOJA ROOM

  • Ø  THE POOJA ROOM SHOULD BE IN THE NORTH, EAST, 

  • AND NORTH-EAST DIRECTION OF THE HOUSE.

  • Ø  WHILE PERFORMING POOJA, ONE SHOULD FACE EAST

  •  OR NORTH

10. POSITION OF TOILET AND BATH ROOM

Ø  TOILETS SHOULD NEVER BE IN THE NORTH-EAST CORNER OF THE BUILDING.

Ø  THEY SHOULD PREFERABLY BE LOCATED IN THE NORTH-WEST AND THE SECOND ALTERNATIVE SHOULD BE IN THE SOUTH-EAST OF THE BUILDING OR THE ROOM.

Ø  IT CAN ALSO BE LOCATED IN THE EAST, NORTH, WEST AND SOUTH.

Ø  SOUTH-WEST CORNER HAS TO BE AVOIDED.

 

11.POSTION OF STAIR CASE

            `Ø  THE STAIRCASE IS IN THE SOUTH-WEST, SOUTH

         OR WEST SIDE OF THE HOUSE. AVOID BUILDING A

         STAIRCASE ON THE NORTH-EAST SIDE AS IT IS LEFT

         OPEN FOR THE MORNING SUN RAYS TO ENTER THE 

            HOUSE. 

        Ø  NUMBER OF STAIRS IS ALWAYS IN ODD

        Ø  THE SHAPE OF STAIRCASE IS RECTANGULAR,

         SQUARE AND BENT AT RIGHT ANGLE
